Angelic Harp Performance:

`A special touch of Harp Music
Next Step
Kristal  is in demand for solo performances, recordings, ensembles, teaching, weddings, private parties, afternoon teas, memorials or any special event.
 Parties and Other Occasions:
Harp music for receptions and cocktail hours sets a distinctive mood by incorporating poignant and favorite music, thereby adding a touch of elegance.  It is standard to play appropriate background mood music to match the tone of the party or occasion.

An extensive list is available by clicking on the  Music link.
Special requests must be made in advance.
About Weddings:
The Ceremony:

Harpist arrives one hour before the ceremony begins to set up, tune, and prepare the harp. Prelude music begins 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony, while guests are being seated. Music for the parents, attendants, and bride is available from harpist's repertoire. Special requests may be made in advance.

Prelude:
Prelude music sets the tone of the entire wedding event. Mood music of mostly classical and popular songs is recommended. The most common requests are:
        Hornpipe by Purcell
A Time for Us by Nina Rotio
Think of Me by Andrew Webber
        Thousand Years by Christina Perri

Music for Family and Bridesmaids:
This music signals the beginning of the ceremony and is geared for the bridal party and family members of your choice (Mothers, Fathers and Grandparents) to walk down the aisle. The most common requests are:
Jesu, Joy of Man Desiring by J.S. Bach
        Canon in D by Pachelbel
A Time for Us from Romeo and Juliet
        Spring by Vivaldi

Processional:
The processional marks the entrance of the bride and whomever is escorting her down the aisle. Both traditional and non-traditional favorites include:
           Bridal Chorus by Wagner
           Ode To Joy by Beethoven
           Canon in D by Pachelbel
           Water Music by Handel

Ceremony:
For longer ceremonies it adds a wonderful touch to have quiet background music during such segments as: lighting candles, presenting flowers to parents,  exchanging rings or just time for reflection. It is not recommended to have music during talking or speeches. Some lovely pieces for this time are:
Think of Me by A. L Webber
All I Ask of You by A. L. Webber,
Down by the Garden an Irish Love Song

Recessional:
At the ceremony's completion, joyous, up-beat, and triumphant music is the  best. Among those most requested:
        The Wedding March by Mendelssohn
        Ode To Joy by Beethoven
Air from "Water Music" by Handel
        Concerto in Bb by Handel
       Processional by Linda Woods

“On behalf of CaliforniaView Fine Arts, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for the excellent performances that we have enjoyed from you during the various art openings we have hosted here in the gallery. Since our opening in Los Gatos during the summer of 2001, we have enjoyed your harp playing as our favored music to set the mood for the showings. You are professional, talented and provide a beautiful compliment to the events we sponsor. I have received numerous compliments on the selection of harp music, specifically your services, and I are thrilled to be associated with such a fine musician and person of character. I look forward in 2004 to having you be a part of our events! Thanks again for the excellent service you provide and I speak for all who have enjoyed your talents.”

"Kristal's music is a blessing from heaven and will inspire you with whispered gentleness and angelic beauty."
~ Lynn Murphy

Kristal played at our wedding this Spring and she was just wonderful. Our family and friends had nothing but high praises for her harp music. We met with Kristal about a month before the wedding for music selection. She played several songs in different styles for us so that we could figure out which genre we liked. Once we decided on the genre, Kristal played more songs for us so that we could decide on processionals, recessional, and so on. It really makes a difference when you hear her play the harp in person! Kristal was really understanding and patient with us for the entire process and she put us at ease immediately... which is really great when you are knee-deep in wedding plans. We were really glad to have Kristal as our harpist for the day. Her years of experience in playing the harp at weddings definitely showed through on our wedding day. She was able to play according to pace of our wedding party walking down the aisle and finish the song early if they reached the end of the aisle a little sooner than expected. We were truly blessed to have her play at our wedding. Thanks, Kristal! :)
